Where participating firms are available, review their consultation fees, scope, duration, and timing. Choose whether to proceed with a firm; you may decline any offer. Multiple options are not guaranteed.
Talk to a lawyer
With your permission, we help arrange the connection to your selected firm. The firm confirms availability and checks for conflicts before substantive discussion. Attorney consultations and any further representation are separate from LIC intake.

You can request help with criminal, family, immigration, landlord-tenant, and other legal matters. Coverage depends on your location, legal issue, and attorney availability.
Is the attorney consultation free?
Our connection service is free to you. Attorneys independently decide whether to offer a free or paid consultation and set their own fees. Any consultation fee will be disclosed before you agree to proceed.
What if no attorney is immediately available?
We’ll explain the available next steps. You can choose a later available consultation or decline to proceed. We do not guarantee that an attorney will be available during your intake.
How quickly can I speak with a lawyer?
Start with a free 15-minute LIC intake. This is not a promise of legal advice or an attorney connection within 15 minutes. Connection timing depends on your location, legal issue, and participating firm availability.
Does requesting help mean I have hired a lawyer?
No. Requesting help or completing intake does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. Any representation must be agreed with the attorney, including the scope of work and legal fees.
